Facade：Jan. 26th through Jun. 2010 (or longer if possible) 　Basement：Jan. 27th through Feb. 07th 2010 　(during International Film Festival Rotterdam) 　Installation "TANEDA'S COOLSINGEL CUBE" 　Rotterdam, THE NETHERLANDS 　TANEDA'S COOLSINGEL CUBE is part of SIR (Sculpture International Rotterdam) 's long- 　term plans for the Coolsingel spanning from 2009 to 2011. Yohei Taneda has been 　commissioned by SIR to design a temporary facade for the Monisima Cube at Kruiskade 2 　in Rotterdam. 　Rotterdam received the bombing in World War II, and old streets were lost. Now there are 　only darken modern constructions stand close together. Taneda planned to show a beautiful　 　color in the city, the externals of a store that the demolition was waited were redecorated 　with beautiful Japanese colors. surrealistic atmosphere was made to appear in the city. And 　also at its basement, Taneda's exhibition to introduce production designs for films was held 　during IFFR (International Film Festival Rotterdam). Taneda got a image of ocean and water 　for the exhibition because of that friendship of the Netherlands and Japan has began with a 　ship "De Liefde" came to Japan. And also the film "AIRDOLL" that was shown at IFFR has a 　image of water. Taneda got all image together and showed up the water design inside and 　outside of this cube. This exhibition made people feel the enfolding atmosphere of water. This installation was introduced with various media. Check the links below.
