2006/10 FILM "SILK" will be shown at Tokyo International Film Festival Yohei Taneda worked on as a Production Designer for Su-Chao PIN's Taiwan film called "SILK" in 2005 starring with Chang Chen and Yosuke Eguchi has shown at The Festival de Cannes. It'll be shown in "Wind from Asia" section at 19th Tokyo International Film Festival on the last day for the festival which is 29th of October, leading the release to the theater in Japan. It'll be showing from 23rd of Sep. in Japan. And also official website has been redesigned, you can see photos and trailors. All windows and doors in real houses changed to new old ones made by wood. Yohei Taneda said, "I want to connect somehow, the vision of coal town that has lost energy and the dream place called Hawaii." TV PROGRAM Report Program, Nikkei Special "Cambrian Palace" Yohei Taneda designed this set of TV program called Nikkei Special "Cambrian Palace" will be started from Apr. 17th 2006, on every Monday 22:00〜22:54 (on every Thursday 21:00〜21:54 on BS JAPAN), on TV Tokyo (TV Hokkaido, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi and TVQ Kyusyu Broadcasting). "Now, Nippon has started moving to search the next change as the Cambrian period in 55,000 years ago. An hour-Talk Live to pick up the core of economy, having many different kinds of economic men to a palace and talk about wisdom we can learn to survive 'the Heisei Cambrian Period'". Main interviewer is Ryu Murakami who has high sense of economy and makes sharp observations as a writer. Sub interviewer is Eiko Koike who is represented all viewers and asks simple questions into a stiff talk. FILM "Heart, beating in the dark" that was presented as the opning film at International Film Festival Rotterdam is coming to a theater in Japan Yohei Taneda worked on this film, called "Heart, beating in the dark" as a Production Designer. It's coming to Shibuya Cine Amuse in late show from Apr. 8th 2006 which is Saturday. Everyday from 21:00 / Release sequentially in Japan "Heart, beating in the dark" was made in 1982 by Syunichi Nagasaki as the 8mm film. 80's was the starting point for film directors who now are famous, it's been considered as a monument of indie movie and now is reborn as the 35mm film with a new story at this time of 23 years passing. Starring Takashi Naito as Ringo and Shigeru Muroi as Inako, they also were starring in the old film 23 years ago. And Shouichi Honda, Noriko Eguchi as young couple Toru and Yuki. Yohei Taneda takes a part in the film as a Production Designer. It's expected to be released in summer of 2006 in Japan! This film is based on a true story. About 40 years ago, when the time of closing a coal mine, it's a big crisis for working people there to keep living. There is a man who takes a notion to set up "Joban Hawaiian Center" (Currently, Spa Resort Hawaiians) in this town that holds a hot spring. Because at that time, Hawaii is a dream place for people living in Japan. Untrained amateur girls in coal town practiced hula hard, and finally it is brought to attention from all over the country. Starring with Etsushi Toyokawa as a workman in coal mine, Yasuko Matsuyuki as a dance teacher for girls, Yu Aoi as a hula girl in coal town and also Shizuyo Yamazaki (Nankai Candies) as a hula girl. Yohei Taneda recreates houses in coal town at that time, the stage for hula dancers and others.
